Bonanza Education Center – The Bonanza Education Center offers so many outdoor learning opportunities for children and adults.  Check out their Facebook page on this Link.

Big Stone County 4-H (Link!) under the Minnesota 4-H and University of Minnesota Extension umbrella, offers age-appropriate, hands-on learning via short-and long-term projects and activities, including:

◾Special-interest groups
◾After-school programs
◾Volunteering
◾Civic engagement
◾Community service
◾Camping
◾School enrichment

In 4-H, youth design and participate in their own programs and activities. This unique, learn-by-doing model teaches kids essential, transferable skills that they’ll use throughout their lives, such as problem solving, decision making, coping, communicating and responding to the needs of others.

Whether youth are building rockets, raising dairy cows, or writing musical plays, 4-H gives them the skills they need to succeed in life.

DREAM for Kids – (link!)
Doing Right Every Available Moment for Kids team is a group of individuals who have a unified dream for children and families in the Big Stone County area; a dream where all children are able to grow up in a family and community that cares for, supports, and protects them as they grown to become healthy, responsible and productive adults.

Together we are seeking ways to assist the current community programs, to develop new ones to fill gaps, and inform the public on how we can all join hands to realize that dream for area children.

We welcome any and all who share our dream. Meetings are held every third Wednesday at 5 pm at the Ortonville VFW basement except June, July, and December.

Bags of nutritious and easy to prepare meals and snacks for children to take home over the weekends and extended breaks.  Free of charge and no income limitations
