Donnie’s Diner Grand Opening

Donnie’s Diner which is located in the Fairway View Communities’ complex had a ribbon cutting and short ceremony yesterday.  Although the sound did not capture very well, we hope you take a listen – Donnie Stolpman has been and continues to be such a strong community supporter.  We are so very fortunate! Big Stone Health Care Foundation Director, Vanessa Lhotka Meyer, says it well in her Facebook post below! A special Grand Opening ceremony was held on Thursday December 28th for Donnie’s Diner at Fairway View Senior Communities Guests enjoyed a moving speech from Dr.Bob honoring Donnie Stolpmann, the dedication & gifts he has made to the Foundation. After the ribbon cutting ceromony Donnie enjoyed a piece of Lynelle’s homemade Sour Cream/Raisin Pie-which he said was the perfect! Donnie continued to look around in amazement and several times stated “he can’t believe he is lucky enough to be a part of all this”. Oh Donnie–you have made this happen and so much more! The commitments Donnie has so generously made and continues to make directly impact the quality …

An Evening in Beardsley, Minnesota

A beautiful August evening in Beardsley!  The Beardsley Fire & First Responders Pork Supper was held on August 17th in the Beardsley City Park.  At the end of the event, the Beardsley Fire Department and the Browns Valley Ambulance Service performed a Live “Auto Extrication”  (see videos below – a short version & the full Extrication) using their Jaws of Life to show how they use the tools and training that they have received. The weather was amazing and the park was a perfect picture of people visiting and kids playing! Video of the Program is below. On Friday, June 9th, Dr. Bob (Dr. Robert S. Ross) was honored during the Ortonville Area Health Services’  Customer Appreciation Day at Lakeside Park for his 40 years of service.  Dr. Bob was quick to confirm when he, at the end of the Program, had the microphone – this was not a retirement party! It was an emotional evening as the Mayor of Ortonville, Doctors, friends and family had a few words to say (and stories to share!)  The crowd that came to celebrate with him and the words that were spoken were a true tribute to an amazing Doctor, Community supporter and local sports enthusiast. Although many great comments were made and laughs were shared, one portion of the program really speaks to the personal connections and the deep sense of community that are grown, here on the MNbump.  Dr. Stacy Longnecker noted that Dr. Bob delivered her… Dr. Bob also delivered her oldest child, Owen, when she was living in Ortonville during an internship portion of her …
