Donnie’s Diner Grand Opening

Donnie’s Diner which is located in the Fairway View Communities’ complex had a ribbon cutting and short ceremony yesterday.  Although the sound did not capture very well, we hope you take a listen – Donnie Stolpman has been and continues to be such a strong community supporter.  We are so very fortunate!

A special Grand Opening ceremony was held on Thursday December 28th for Donnie’s Diner at Fairway View Senior Communities Guests enjoyed a moving speech from Dr.Bob honoring Donnie Stolpmann, the dedication & gifts he has made to the Foundation. After the ribbon cutting ceromony Donnie enjoyed a piece of Lynelle’s homemade Sour Cream/Raisin Pie-which he said was the perfect! Donnie continued to look around in amazement and several times stated “he can’t believe he is lucky enough to be a part of all this”. Oh Donnie–you have made this happen and so much more!

The commitments Donnie has so generously made and continues to make directly impact the quality healthcare and service offered through Ortonville Area Health Services. Ensuring that this area has top providers and equipment is a reality only made possible through donations such as Donnie’s. We honor Donnie today and feel so grateful for him and all of you who contribute in any way to the Foundation. A few pictures from the event – including photos of some of the items that residents can purchase from the Town Center (grocery & gifts).  Stop in at Donnie’s Diner for a delicious piece of pie and coffee (there are other items as well, that is just what I’d go for first!) and see what is new at Fairway View Communities!  Lynelle Dwyer noted that they will be posting information on the facility’s Facebook Page soon – the Diner has daily featured items that are available to residents and to the general public.  The hours of the Diner are 9:30 to 1:30 p.m. and Lynelle hopes to be able to expand the hours in the coming months.  

We are thankful for City leaders and Ortonville Area Health Services for their investments in our community – and very thankful for people like Donnie Stolpmann!
