Clinton Minnesota Celebrates Memorial Day 2020 Virtually
The City of Clinton, Minnesota has a long tradition of celebrating and honoring our military veterans who have passed away, not only those making the ultimate sacrifice dying for our county, but all of those who have served our country and have died.
Because of the pandemic of Covid19, we are unable to gather together to share our memories. The Campbell-Williams Post #258 of Clinton, Minnesota (with the help of Auxiliary member Janine Teske) has put together this Virtual Memorial Day Program. We hope that this allows you the opportunity to reflect on our community and pay respect to those that have gone before us.

This was wonderful – the whole program! I will watch it over and over. And it makes this Memorial Day one to remember, and I intend to share with many family members. Thank You! Thank You! Jim, Janine, Tom, and Joey – Thank You for sharing you time and talents. Dave & Bonnie Stotesbery
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, AND THANK YOU again for carrying on the rich Memorial Day legacy and tradition that only Clinton can provide!!! The Roll Call of respect had so many familiar names and thank you, Joey, for bringing to life so many memories of that very special day——the awesome parade led by the veterans carrying those beautiful flags, the veterans themselves marching or riding, the Women’s Auxiliary, the band, the moving program in the gym and the excellent cemetery service held in the midst of flowers and flags honoring all of the grave sites!!!! Patriotism at its BEST——-small town America!!! Hopefully those of us who have experienced and continue to experience such respectful gatherings will continue to pass on the meaning of Memorial Day and the price that was paid for the freedoms we enjoy!!! Truly MUCH MORE than a 3 day weekend of R&R!!!
💙🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸…..My Thanks to each one of you
This was WONDERFUL! Thank you to Jim for the welcome, to Tom for the roll call, and to Joey for the wonderful message! I loved seeing the pictures of those people whose names I’ve heard in the roll call for many, many years. I hope more pictures will be added once this video is shared. And Joey, your message was amazing. You mentioned a couple of the speakers you remember most; the one I remember the most is Kenny Benson. I tear up every time I recall him saying he was so thankful he survived the war because he was able to have a family and watch several generations grow up, and he wouldn’t have known what he missed if he had been killed in action. I, too, will encourage people to listen to this program. It’s time well spent and what we SHOULD do on this Memorial Day. Thank you to Janine and Jim Teske for putting this all together. And, wasn’t my father-in-law a handsome man??!!!
